The role
Appleby is now accepting applications for our 2018 Pupillage Trainee Program (the Program). Note that the Program is only available to Bermudians, Spouses of Bermudians, and Permanent Resident Certificate holders.

The Program is a 2 year training program, which is broken into two 1 year fixed-term contracts. Within the initial year, each Trainee will have to complete 2 six month seats in 2 of the following practice areas: Corporate, Dispute Resolution, or Private Client & Trusts. Each Trainee is assigned a mentor in the respective seat they are sitting and is assessed by their mentor on a quarterly basis. Upon completing the initial year, the Mentoring Committee will meet to decide if a second fixed-term contract will be extended to the Trainee.

After successfully completing the first year of training, Trainees will be eligible to be Called to the Bermuda Bar. Following being Called, the Trainees are given the title of Associate. Each Trainee will again complete 2 six month seats in 2 of our practice areas, with the ultimate aim being the final seat occupied is in the practice area the Trainee intends to practice.

Individuals with whom have already completed an one (1) year training contract elsewhere and wish to enter the Programme as a second-year Trainee are welcomed to apply.
